  1. Small intestine histopathology of mice treated twice daily with the compound and doses indicated in column 1. Duodenum and ileum segments from treated mice were analyzed for cellular homeostasis by histology as indicated in methods. The number of animals affected is indicated next to the dose, as well as the mean severity score for goblet cell hyperplasia in the affected animals. Severity score rating: 0 = no significant change, 0.5 = questionable, 1 = minimal, 2 = mild, 3 = moderate, 4 = severe (*tissue lost from one animal). NA indicates not applicable.
